Welcome to our new blog!

Hi, I’m Sam—Public / Photographer Relations and Worldwide Marketing Communications Manager here at Lowepro. Whew—that’s mouthful! What it boils down to is that I get to work closely with our pro photographers and International partners from all over the globe. Really fun stuff.

I’ll be just one of several regular bloggers, each bringing our own, unique perspectives about a variety of topics. You’ll hear from Tim in our UK office, Frank who is based in the US and Derrick, our Photo Evangelist—a photographer in his own right who also manages our social media activities. In addition, we’ll be inviting guest bloggers ranging from pro photographers to industry experts, to share their thoughts about current topics.

We’ll be sharing stories from and about a lot of the folks here at Lowepro—behind the scenes pieces about our people, our brand and our designs. Within the Lowepro family, we have award winning photographers like Joanne, our HR manager. We have former pro photographers who bring their expertise to positions in sales, customer service and management. And we have a lot of really talented amateurs.

As we get things going, we’ll give you our take on what’s happening within our industry and offer tips to help you get the most out of your Lowepro gear. Plus there’ll be the occasional glimpse into some of the projects we are currently working on, as well as a variety of other topics that are near and dear to our hearts.

Mike Crane Video
My job here at Lowepro includes managing our photographer relations activities, so I get to see a lot of great images—and  the background on where, why and how they were taken. What you will see in my posts will be more the color commentary—the human interest stories from some of my projects. Like this cool new video sent to us by Mike Crane, one of our pro photographers, while he was on location in Japan.
