OK, I’ll start with a tip. Did you know that the interior of many Lowepro bags can be used as a gray card to set proper exposure? It might not be the most practical gray card you’ve ever used, but you always have it with you…
If you’ve been following us on Twitter or frequenting our Facebook Fan Page (or should I say, “Like” page?), then you already know who I am. I’m Derrick Story, your Photography Evangelist at Lowepro. I’m a contributor to this blog too.
So why would you care if Lowepro has a Photography Evangelist? Well, for starters, I don’t work in a cubical. I’m a photographer. I get sand on my shoes, and I shoot Raw, not Jpegs. Well, most of the time. My job at Lowepro is to listen to you — that includes online and in the field. For example, I’ll be at Photokina next month in the Lowepro booth.
To stay sharp and in the flow, I write a photography column for Macworld Magazine, have published more than a half dozen books about photography, teach photography online for Lynda.com, and yes, I take lots of photos.
I have many ideas that I want to discuss with you. So I hope you participate by commenting on the topics I present. And I promise, I’ll be right back at you, that is, after I finish the upload from the day’s shoot.
I test and review bags for LowePro for my blog as well. Welcome to the blog. I can’t wait to read more. Have fun in the sand. I must say I’m a little jealous!
