By June 17, 2011Contests

For Free Bag Friday this week, I have not one, but two Lowepro Pro Roller Attaché x50 bags to award. Here’s how to throw your hat into the ring.

  1. Comment on this blog post about how you would use this bag.
  2. If you win, promise to send us a photo of you with the bag in action, packed, or a short video of it prepared for a trip, within 14 days of receiving the bag. Your submission will be posted on our Facebook page.
  3. All potential winning comments must be posted to this blog by 8 am PDT on Monday, June 20.

Lowepro will randomly pick two comment-entries and notify the winners that day. If you want to see how I use the Pro Roller x50, check out this short video.

If you’ve participated before, you know that there is a lag from the time you post your comment until it appears on the blog. Don’t worry! It will appear. We approve the comments in batches. Good luck, and I hope you win.

  • I would use it on my next sailing trip to Svalbard Island (Norway)

I use a Lowepro Fastpack 250 daily to carry laptop, iPad, camera, lenses, flash, and other work related essentials for which it functions perfectly.

For those business trips and getaways a compact solution is required that cannot be daily addresed by the Fastpack. The Pro Roller is the perfect travel companion allowing for the separation of the mundane from the essential by allowing the clothing and toiletries to be stowed or parked while the toys and tools are readily on hand in a compact package. It’s a great solution.

I would use this cool bag to take to all my sports events when I shoot. I need a bag to take to games that would hold ALL my equipment! One that I can roll out to the field and not have to carry during the game. It would safely keep the equipment that I don’t need at that moment! What a blessing it would be!

Hey, if I could win a x50 roles, it would be used daily, because I have problems with my back, I have always used Lowepro backpack for my gear, but when I got back pain you would a roller suit me perfectly . Thanks in advance.

  • I have been an avid amateur photographer for the last 6 years now, recently i was involved in a Road Traffic Accident around 4 months ago, now i am wheel chair bound which makes things very difficult to get out & about with all my camera gear to include a couple of heavy telephotos. I think this bag is just what i am looking for to help me carry on in my quest as an amateur photographer as it will help to carry on being able to participate in my hobby. By the way is very much into wild life & landscape photography.

  • I have dragged my Dryzone 100 through close to 40 countries now, it’s looking pretty battered and is possibly a biological hazard!

I would love to have a bag to use for shoots where I am not hiking around the jungle or desert, a bag that people could take me seriously in!

I would also love to have the challenge of fitting all my gear inside one bag…having the dryzone and hence no wheels means a lot of gear left in the humidity controlled cupboard at anyone time!

  • Dima says:

Wow, nice bag. Traveling between Florida and New York would be a lot easier now

  • Val says:

I work, study so have to carry a lot of gear. When an event is in town that means a big backpack, and that’s hard on the shoulders.

So this bag is perfect, easy to pack and unpack, I can roll it around the city, and it even works as a flash stand! Believe me I’ve wanted to have a flash stand at times, but of course I’d never bring one to work!

Looks good enough not to attract unwanted attention in a sea of suits too!

The attache x50 looks like an awesome bag. Rightnow I carry my outback 200 on the football and rugby fields to photography my son’s games and my mini trekker with change of clothes and an extra body and net book. The x50 would be great to roll around to lighten my load when my sons and I often have to travel to different field check in for different tournaments.

It’s the perfect traveler’s bag. Easy to bring as a carry on. And when I get to the location of my shoot, I can easily bring the bag as a messenger bag that would make it easy to get gear in and out of the bag. It would be a perfect way to transport my gear.

I’m planning a personal assignment to a tropical island/resort. Hoping that this compact and versatile lowepro roller will aid in my traveling 🙂

  • J. Coates says:

I have a bunch of old 35mm underwater camera gear. I think I’ll put it in this, toss it in the ocean and then dive down, pull it out, and shoot some Kodachrome of the fishes.

Just kidding! But, since the winners are picked randomly and not on the merit of the description, why not have some fun? 🙂

As a student who travels at least once a year to various destinations (just last semester I was on NYC and Washington) I would use this bag as you described, with clothing and personal gear on the trolley and my camera gear on the inside bag and since my current gear isn’t that much gear (that will change!!!!) it seems to fit my needs as a traveler very well.

Since Id have most of my personal gear and all of my camera gear on board (Still would need to get an extra suitcase since most of my travels are longer than a week) so no sweat if the airline misplaces my suitcase since I’d have clothing essentials and my camera gear and laptop with me.

The true beauty of this bag is that you can use the trolley for attaching the internal part of it to the handle, allowing me to carry my stuff effortlessly and most importantly with no shoulder pain at the end of the day for those really big airports!!

I would use this bag when the 200AW fully loaded is too much and there is a plane to catch! This has to be the perfect combo of wheeled and carry on!

(and I promise to send lowepro pics of the bag in action should I win)

It’s a fantastical trolley bag! I could take all my equipment to any shooting (urban, sunrise at the river, people, travel, babypictures. I would take this bag in a trip to chile, without trouble about carring the heavy gear (only my bag Magnum 400 AW with camera, lenses, flashes, netbook etc. is over 12 kg!)I have already 5 bags from Lowepro (MX 10, Mini Trekker, Flipside 400 AW, Magnum 400 AW, Toploader TLZ mini, Toploader Pro 70 AW) and Pro Roller is still my dream!
