For Free Bag Friday this week, I have not one, but two Lowepro Pro Roller Attaché x50 bags to award. Here’s how to throw your hat into the ring.
- Comment on this blog post about how you would use this bag.
- If you win, promise to send us a photo of you with the bag in action, packed, or a short video of it prepared for a trip, within 14 days of receiving the bag. Your submission will be posted on our Facebook page.
- All potential winning comments must be posted to this blog by 8 am PDT on Monday, June 20.
Lowepro will randomly pick two comment-entries and notify the winners that day. If you want to see how I use the Pro Roller x50, check out this short video.
If you’ve participated before, you know that there is a lag from the time you post your comment until it appears on the blog. Don’t worry! It will appear. We approve the comments in batches. Good luck, and I hope you win.
Derrick Story is the Photography Evangelist for Lowepro.
For my first ever trip abroad, as an 18 year old, to South Africa for four weeks. Simply put, this bag would be used for hand-luggage and then for getting portraits of zulus. Thank you
As a new grandfather with a grandson whose parents live in Virginia and I and my wife live in Florida, I would find this bag very useful.
As it is now, I’m using a Lowepro 350X roller bag, whick I love, but my new Pro Roller Attache X50 would be perfect for quick trips to Virginia to keep up with my handsome baby grandson.
I’d be able to pack light with clothes in the roller and put my Nikon D7000 with my 18-200mm attached, flash, 50mm, and laptop in the shoulder bag. Not too much to take and probably just right for a quick grandfather visit!
I would use this bag to help me photograph the Blue Ridge Parkway
Pro Roller Attache x50 Winners! Congrats to DY and Sarah C, who each win our “2 bags in 1” roller. DY says, “Oh man, those bags are clutch.” Sarah commented, “Guaranteed you guys will have a great story, photos, and footage of the bag in action.” Stay tuned for their images/video once they receive the Pro Rollers. Thanks to everyone for participating and contributing such great comments.
Damned, too late 🙁
Hi all, this bag would be ideal for a small (business) trip. All other bags/backpacks I own are too big or too small or too uncomfortable. Apart from the fact that none of mine is that good-looking! 😉
This has been the bag that I’ve been waiting for. I live in a small town with only prop plane service at the airport and anything bigger than a briefcase/backpack has to be gate checked. So I either have to travel with minimum photo gear or risk damaging my equipment. I would give my left nut to win this Bag!
As a working photographer I often have a situation where I need to fly domestically to another city for a shoot, stay overnight and head home again within a day or two.
Speed is of the essence, so no checked baggage is the way to go – it cuts ages off the process of travelling by air if you can leave that out.
I have been looking at the X50 bag because I cannot find a bag that allows me to take a night or two’s worth of clothing and personal kit as well as my cameras.
To be able to roll on with the clothes, carrying the camera bag then roll off at the other end and head for the hotel would be my ideal scenario. I could then either leave the wheeled part in the hotel or choose to unpack it and use it to wheel the cameras, depending on the nature of the environment and the assignment.
I have 3 flights and overnights coming up in just the next 9 days, so as you can see it is a very regular problem for me!
This may be the first bag that was designed remembering that even photographers like to take clean clothes with them sometimes…..!
What could I not use this bag combination for? My home is in England and I work in Germany. I also travel to many other locations on smaller airlines that require you to have only one carry-on bag. I also travel by rail constantly. With this set-up I can have my important equipment with me at all times and have two changes of clothes as checked baggage or stowed in an overhead on the train and still be comfortable. I shoot film and digital so everything I use would be right there with me. FANTASTIC!!
I aready own some Lowepro stuff: Slingbags, Toploaders etc. The Pro Roller Attaché x50 would be very helpful to consolidate them all.
I just moved house and all my camera’s and equipment with it. Can I just say with the series of smaller bags, pads and a rolling suitcase I got most of it in like 5 trips. I need a new bag.
Planning to take a trip to Florida and Spain This year. This would be a great back to use for my equipment. Photography Rules!!!
I love these products and would do anything repeat ANYTHING to win this contest
I would love to win this bag. I all ready use a Lowepro flipside 200 and love it. The Lowepro Pro Roller Attaché x50 would allow me to bring along a lot more kit in a more convenient way. Thanks Lowepro!
With my work, I travel a lot. The Pro Roller Attache x50 is perfect to wheel along tight and narrow spaces like airplane aisles. Rolling the Attache x50 sure beats carrying my 20 lb backpack on my next trip to Asia this summer!
