It’s Free Bag Friday (the 13th)!
This week we’re offering a SlingShot 202 AW to one lucky winner. To participate, all you have to do is answer the question: “When do you like to use a sling bag?” Add your answer to the Comments area of this blog post. You have until midnight PST, Sunday April 15, 2012 to enter. We’ll pick a winner from the comments and notify via this blog and our Facebook page next week. As always, void where prohibited.
Good luck on this Friday the 13th, and let us know when you like to use a sling bag.
Derrick Story is the Photography Evangelist for Lowepro.
I’d use it on my travel to Niagara Falls, Canada when I watch Nik Wallenda do his walk in June. As a reporter and photographer it will be superb for my camera, recorder, and notebook; especially with the constant water mist in the area. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime event and everything has to be well choreographed to capture the moment.
“When do you like to use a sling bag?”
When I want to feel like a gun-ho dslr slinging pro! Draw the bastard out of the sexy back and whisper to myself “Do ya feel lucky… punk?”
I know it’s past the deadline, but I had that running through my head I had to write it somewhere
I’d love to use a Lowepro Slingshot to carry my dSLR while working to monitor and protect New Jersey’s rare wildlife!
SlingShot is a great bag to walk arround the city, super fast to take the camera out to shoot, great to have a place for the tripod and other stuff. I love lowepro bags, allways thinking in how to take a better picture.
I don’t have one of these at the moment, but is would be very useful on a long walk, on a tour and when you need fast access to the camera.
I would love to use a Slingshot for those times when I shift into photojournalist style and I’m working fast, so please pick me!
I would use it for street photography or long walk
I use slingshot all the time any time!!! Its the best kind of bag!!!!
City/Urban Exploring. I prefer to use a sling bag when I’m running around the city and the abandon buildings around the city. I find using a sling to be easier and a quicker way to access your camera/gear. As a photo journalist that’s a very important feature to me. Just something a double strapped backpack cant provide. I need to retire my old sling bag! -W

A sling bag is perfect to use for any and every occasion when one plans to take their camera equipment along for the ride ( and when/where would one ever really go and not take the camera?!?! 😉 ).
I like to use a sling bag for any photo opportunity.
Its small enough to be comfortable, but large enough to store gear.
I like to use a Lowepro sling bag whenever I take my camera with me: they are comfortable and, most of all, very practical – just swing it, unzip it, grab your camera and take the shot! No worries about other equipment falling because it’s all safely packed… just focus on the shot..
The sling bag is the perfect companion for family programs: you can carry your camera very comfortably and be available for your kids plays and needs and whenever you need it, just can draw it fast and easy! How practical can you get!?..
I need Lowepro Slingshot when I want to shoot at 1/8000 or 1/8 of a sec, draw it fast or slow, wear it casually or formally, to a field or a party I’ll just sling and shot with a Lowepro Slingshot 🙂
