The Huayhuash mountain range is formed by 21 high-altitude Andean peaks. It is considered one of the most beautiful mountain ranges in the world, and is protected as a Peruvian Conservation Area. It became world famous in Joe Simpson’s book Touching the Void.
This pristine mountain environment will be the setting of Lukasz Warzecha’s workshop, sponsored by Lowepro. It will be a unique, hands-on experience involving breathtaking locations, extreme conditions, and the chance to learn how to capture the human element and outdoors activities!

Lowepro Storyteller Lukasz strongly believes that creating a great adventure image is a team effort. During the seven days of workshop shooting, he will share his experience of working with some of the world’s leading adventure-sport athletes. Participants will be able to explore the creative process when working within the mountainous environment.
This workshop is the perfect opportunity to learn how to effectively merge landscapes and the human presence. Lukasz will teach you how to shoot fast and light when trekking or climbing, carrying only the bare minimum of gear. Workshop attendees will have a chance to explore more complicated lighting scenarios, and learn how to find the balance on what to take and what to leave behind to make the most of a shooting day.

Lukasz is a photographer and filmmaker who has carved out a formidable reputation as one of the top adventure photographers in the world over the past 5 years. He is a winner of the prestigious Nature’s Best Magazine Windland Smith Rice Award. Lukasz lives by the phrase: “This is the most exciting time to be a photographer ever!” He has photographed on four continents on assignment for National Geographic, The North Face, WL GORE, Mountain Equipment, Petzl and Black Diamond (among others).
Eduardo Pedraza
Expert guide Eduardo Pedraza is a travel curator, adventurer, mountaineer and photography enthusiast. He has more than 15 years in the adventure travel industry, designing and operating world class experiences for the US, European, Japanese and Australian markets. Over the past five years, Eduardo has specialized in the design of ‘off the beaten path’ trips, venturing in new terrain and promoting real cultural immersion by connecting people with cultures. He is the Co-Founder/ President of INTU, a travel company/ photo & video collective.
