“If my bag could talk, it would probably brag about all the epic adventures it’s been on – but only to cover up all the embarrassing touristy activities it’s suffered through.”
As a travel photographer and writer, I’m always trying to strike a balance of staying off the tourist trail and embracing it all at the same time.
I can’t travel all the way to Morocco and not go for the obligatory camel ride, but I can balance it out with an evening in a Berber tent drinking mint tea with Mohamed and friends – or add the extra hike to the top of Huayna Picchu after the tourist ramble around Machu Picchu, and my Lowepro Photo Sport has supported me through all of it.
The Photo Sport series has been my travel companion even before my partnership with Lowepro. It’s doubled as my airplane carry on, hiking pack, small overnight bag, and travel pillow. It stuffs easily into carry on luggage for larger trips, but carries all my gear for day hikes. I like to complement my trips abroad with the Lowepro Pro Runner that carries my computer and extra accessories that becomes my mobile office on wheels.
I can stuff the Photo Sport full and use the camel back feature for long day hikes, or keep it simple and light – making it my favorite Lowepro bag that I will depend on to hold my gear as well as my embarrassing travel stories!
