Organizing Our Gear for the New Year

By January 6, 2012It Also Fits..., Products

January is a great time of year to clean out closets, review upcoming expenses, and even tackle that messy garage. But what about your camera gear? Over time we tend to collect lenses and other accessories. How are you storing them? On shelves where they’re exposed to dust? In various camera bags? Desk drawers?

One of the best systems for protecting your equipment in an organized manner is with a roller bag. You can create compartments for each item, with everything clearly visible when you open the bag.

When it’s time to go on a shoot, you can select the pieces you need and put them in your favorite backpack or shoulder sling. And if it’s a big assignment, just take the entire roller with you. If you review the options on the Lowepro Pro Roller x-Series page, you’ll see that there are a variety of sizes to accommodate the amount of equipment you use.

Rollers are easy to store. They don’t take up much room, even in the tightest quarters. Yet, you have bodies, lenses, flashes, and other accessories readily available… and protected. While you’re organizing the rest of your life in this New Year, consider treating yourself to a sturdy, efficient, and handsome roller bag. What a great way to start 2012.

I would take it with me to visit alien civilistions. Guess who’s been reading the Hitch-Hikers Guide to the Galaxy?

When I go someplace where I need to shoot video and take stills, I need to bring two bags because everything won’t fit in one. A roller bag would be a great help carrying all my gear as well as saving my back and shoulders.

  • Robert Hanson says:

This roller bag would be used during my travels to photo shoots. The first trip I have planned is to Bonaire where myself and several other diver/underwater photographers are going to create some very special images of the aquatic world. I would be able to pack all my photo gear in one bag where I know it would be protected as well as organized during my travels. Some of the gear would include cameras, lenses, underwater strobes, camera housings, power supplies, media storage etc. Now that would be sweet!

  • Gail McKee says:

It would make packing for a trip FUN. Would love to win one and have FUN with it 🙂

  • On my flight over to the People’s Republic I was relaxed while thinking that my gear, so important to the positive outcome of this trip, would be safely stored in a new LowePro Pro roller bag on my next trip. Never again would my gear be used as a perch for some family’s hen nor as target practice for a wayward goat’s eliminations. I could see it now…Me, rolling my gear like a well connected photojournalist down the alleyways and through the casbahs. Stop, easily select new lens from it’s safe cradle in the myriad of compartments in my beautiful new LowePro Pro roller, shoot, store. Front page shot! Thank you LowePro. As I awoke from my dream I groggily rubbed the sleep from my eyes and spied the beat up broken zippered old bag lying in the corner of my New York apartment….. Ok maybe one day I really will have that new LowePro Pro roller!

I’d take this beauty with me when I travel to Death Valley & Joshua Tree this year, as well as with me on planned trips to Washington State in the Olympic National Forest, and also across the country and back when I visit my family when we have “Christmas in July” this summer. Love this bag!

  • Lynette says:

This bag would be so awesome for carrying my gear and would be so much better than what I am using because I have a bum shoulder.

  • Bryan Rau says:

This is an absolutely awesome bag, and fresh after Christmas with a few new lens, flash and other bits and pieces, my flipside 300 juist cannot handle what I want to carry with me.

  • Noah Kameyer says:

After a back injury around ten years ago, I cannot carry a backpack
filled with even a bit of gear….one of the
reasons I currently carry my laptop and
    point-and-shoot camera in a messenger
bag for short distances. I am considering
getting back into shooting with a DSLR,
and this bag on wheels would really help
    me out.

I’d no longer hear, Where is the camera! What sweet music; and we would not be running late to so many events. It would make such a difference in our lives!

  • Stewart McLaren says:

the perfect organiser. having all my gear in the one bag would certainly make life easier than having to hunt through the various slip lock system lookin for that elusive piece u can never find when u need it. also be easier just to lift and go at a moments notice knowing everything u need should be in there to hand..

  • Lorenzo Yenko says:

What an amazing compliment to the Streetwalker Pro! Traveling by plane would be so much easier with this solution. Space, configurability(?) and durability. And soooo sexy!

Living in a small apartment with my wife means that I have no designated space for my gear. It’s thrown between two lowepro bags and a bucket that is also full of tv stuff. A nice big roller bag would give me a place to keep it all together and organized, as well as bring it along for the big shoots!!!

  • Stephanie parsons says:

I would use this bag to organize my gear into one nice compact bag so I don’t have to carry several bags around when traveling by air, sea, or land.

  • Martha Whitford says:

What a great bag this would be. My hubby and I could share and only have to take one bag! My D90 (thanks honey!) and his D700 and the lenses could all ride together. My current Lowepro is fabulous but one bag would be great!
