Last week when I posted this picture of my “collector’s edition” Lowepro Terraclime Padfolio, many readers wanted to know where they could get one too. Well, you can’t buy ’em unless you find one on eBay or craigslist. But guess what? I have 6 more of them stashed away. And I’m willing to part with the half dozen to celebrate this week’s “Throwback Thursday.”
Just by way of history, more than 95 percent of the total content of Terraclime bags are made from recycled materials, mostly used water bottles. There were three colors of these bags: grasshopper green, plum, and black. There are still brand new versions of the Terraclime 30 and others from the series available on Amazon and through other retailers. But I doubt you’re going to find the special edition padfolios anywhere because they were made for special events and not sold through retail channels.
Here’s how you can enter for a chance to get one of these six. Post a comment on this blog about any earth-friendly activity you engage in. This could be your recycling program at home, how you’ve cut back on energy use, changes you’ve made with transportation, or volunteer work you’ve done.
On Thursday morning, July 25, 2013 at 7am PDT, we will close our eyes and select 6 of those comments from this blog post as recipients of a Terraclime Padfolio. All decisions are final. Giveaway is void where prohibited. We will list the names here and on our Facebook Fan Page as part of “Throwback Thursday.” Hat not included.
So, what earth-friendly activity are you engaged in?
Derrick Story is the Photography Evangelist for Lowepro.
Here are the winners! Congrats to Johnny Lemoine, Jenny Mack, Mark Mast, Jodi Pomerleau, Lynn Konowitz, and Sigrid C. Degener, who scored Terraclime Padfolios as part of our Throwback Thursday celebration.
Bag came today…it’s the green one. Going on a trip tomorrow…the bag arrived just in time for me to be able to use it! Thanks so much!
I bought a santiago 20 camera case in its original packaging from goodwill for 88 cents and a camera to go in it for $3.38. I found this blog when looking up the things I bought. I like the case, and when I find I need another one, I will probably get one of your brand. I’m going to use rechargable batteries now that I know this camera works. I also take the bus and put documents on my kindle rather than print them out, including the pdf manual for my “new” camera.
I’ve been a full-time Bike commuter for 5 years now. That’s the biggest thing for me and is something that has become somewhat contagious as I’ve talked a pretty good chunk of coworkers into riding at least a couple times a week.
I and my family go to the lake ones a week and pick up trash along the shore line. mostly at what the locals call Shall Beach here at Elk City Lake in Southeast Kansas
I try my hardest to be environmentally friendly with every thing I do including recycling glass and plastic, buy local produce, use a metal refillable water bottle, compost food waste, bike to the post office and grow vegetables in our home garden.
I recycle packing peanuts, bubble wraps, styrofoams, and corrugated boxes from recycling center for my online business shipping supplies.
What an awesome looking bag! How come I have never seen one of these before?!
I park in one lot on campus and walk to all of my classes and on campus job, rather than moving to more convenient spots throughout the day.
We also are sure to recycle any and all eligible waste.
